Despite prevailing advice, exercise alone is pretty unhelpful for weight loss. While 100 percent of our energy comes from food, we can only burn about 10 to 30 percent of it with physical activity each day. This means that you cant expect to lose a lot of weight by just increasing your physical activity alone. While exercise is very important for overall health, how much and what you eat will have a greater impact on your waistline.
