SMART Goal Setting

We want to help everyone be successful in their goals for 2021! When deciding your goals remember to make them SMART Goals with the highlighted acronym below.

Our FORGE Wellness Initiative is supporting those who want group accountability. Wherever you are on your journey, consider breaking down any goals you have made this year or want to create into 3-month goals. We hope you’ll share and post your 3 SMART Goals that you want to tackle for each quarter. These goals can be related to Wellness or in another area of your life. They can start small and increase in scope each following quarter this year or be completely unrelated.

You can find and join others in this FORGE Wellness Initiative in ‘Groups’ on this site in order to keep up to date with new activities and posts!

Specific:

Make your goals specific and narrow for more effective planning.

Measurable:

Define what evidence/metric will be used to illustrate progress.

Attainable

Think about how to accomplish the goal and if you have the tools/skills needed. If you don’t currently possess those tools/skills, consider what it would take to attain them.

Realistic & Relevant

Your goals should align with your values and long-term objectives

Time-Based

Know your end date and periodic review dates. Understand how far along you should be and when and revaluate when necessary.
